Like her lowkey relationship with her attorney boyfriend (now husband), Edgardo Canales, the Morbius star, had a private destination wedding at the hotel Casa Santo Domingo in La Antigua, Guatemala, in the summer of 2019.

After a year of remaining engaged, the actress chose her home country for her big day in September. In a March 2022 interview with People Chica, she had said, "Guatemala is one of the most beautiful countries in the world."

If you aren't aware, Arjona likes to keep her personal life private, and she had the same approach during her engagement and marriage. For example, the couple revealed little about their relationship in their online wedding invitation. Also, she never introduced her boyfriend in the public sphere or on Instagram before her marriage.

The pair married on Saturday at 5:30 pm at Hotel Casa Santo Domingo. Quien reported that Guatemalan singer-songwriter Gaby Moreno performed during the celebration.

The newlyweds did not request gifts. But their guests could contribute books and toys for needy children from El Barrio, La Barrita in Guatemala, or donate to the Caras de Puerto Rico Foundation.

The San Juan Native also later shared two stories about the event: she disclosed that it was a very long party that lasted till 6:30 in the moving, and the women closest (family and friend) to her were there for her at all times, as per the source.

The Triple Frontier star posted two Instagram stories on the wedding day. Her stories reported that the party went on till 6:30 in the morning. And that she had the support of her friends and family throughout the ceremony.

The actress stayed true to her private nature and shared her wedding pictures only a year later on her Instagram story. She posted a photo of her husband embracing her and titled it, "A year ago today!"

It is not publicly known when and where Arjona met her lawyer husband, Canales. But the lawyer made his first appearance on Arjona's Instagram on Valentine's Day, 2016. 

Canales hugged Arjona in the photo while burying his face in her hair. So even this photo was just a partial reveal. The actress captioned the post, "Him. Wishing everyone a happy Valentines's Day."

The actress often shares loved-up snaps with her husband and their romantic milestones on social media. On August 19, 2018, Arjona shared the news of their engagement.

Her father is none other than the Guatemalan singer-songwriter Edgar Ricardo Arjona Algadeoro. Her mother is also famous. She is former Miss Puerto Rico, Leslie Torres. 

Arjona's parents divorced in 2009. And according to Heavy, her dad Ricardo has a close relationship with her. She is the eldest of two children. When she was young, her dad, whom she calls her "number one admirer," often took her with him on his tours. "My dad has given me the biggest gift anyone has ever given me. He gave me wings so I could soar," she remarked in one of her Instagram posts.
