Best known for the Divergent series and Whiplash, Miles Teller, has been married to model Keleigh Sperry Teller since 2019. Recently, the pair were on vacation to Hawaii with their friends, Shailene Woodley and her fiancé Aaron Rodgers.

While enjoying the vacation, the Tellers came across an unfortunate event. Miles was punched in the face at the Monkeypod Kitchen on the island of Maui.

TMZ was the first to report the news; however, the details reported were wonky. To clarify it all, the Tellers took it upon themselves to straighten the story.

The Initial Report

On May 28, TMZ reported that the Hawaii law enforcement and sources present at the crime scene had told them of the event. Miles was assaulted while having dinner with his wife in a restaurant when a man in the bathroom confronted him.

The two fought outside the bathroom, where the actor screamed he would press charges against his assaulter. As per the report, he was not seriously injured, and soon after, he and his wife left the restaurant.

The Tellers were married in Maui, Hawaii, in 2019. Apparently, Miles owed a wedding planner $60,000 for services during the wedding. The wedding planner was the one who punched the actor, complaining that he had not been paid to date.

Tellers’ Side Of The Story

Ever since the news broke, the couple has debunked TMZ.

Keleigh Sperry took to Instagram Stories to deny TMZ’s report and claimed that the story was utterly false. She clarified two men, not one, had cornered her husband. They had never met the men in their life, and they trapped Miles in a bathroom to jump on him.

The model speculated Miles was not the only victim, but the men had assaulted other people as well. She confirmed the incident was now a criminal investigation.

Woodley also shared the message on her Instagram Story.

Miles also confirmed his wife’s news on his Twitter.

On May 29, American football punter Pat McAfee mocked the assault by sharing a clip from WWE on Twitter. Miles replied to the tweet, clarifying the situation. He confirmed he got jumped by two guys he had never met before in a bathroom.

McAfee, after knowing the complete story, sincerely apologized to the actor.

Since then, no further news has surfaced about the unfortunate event.

Timeline Of Tellers’ Relationship

The Fantastic Four star met Keleigh in 2013 during an after-party for The Black Keys. Miles told the Vogue that the model caught his eye the night, and they danced together. A week later, the two went on a date together, and the rest is history.

Fast forward to 2017, and the duo went on a vacation to South Africa. Miles had planned on proposing to Keleigh, and he did it most romantically.

He placed a rose on a tree with a note attached to it. On the letter, there were initials of the duo and two dates — the date they met and the date of that day, when he popped the question.

The model replied “Yes” to the proposal, and the duo tied the knot two years later. The ceremony took place in September 2019 at a Catholic church in Maui, Hawaii.

The duo does not have any children as it seems like Teller is serious with his career. He recently scored a significant feat since he will replace Armie Hammer in The Offer, a Paramount+ series.

The limited series is based on The Godfather, the 1992 gangster-crime classic. Similarly, his new movie, Top Gun: Maverick, is set to release in 2021.

Two other movies, Escape from Spiderhead and Flag Day, are in post-production, while The Ark and the Aardvark is in production.

He is currently filming The Fence.
