The young actor, Ramon Reed, debuted as Owen Blatt in the Disney Television show Just Roll With It in October 2019. The show had some improvisational moments and a special live interactive episode starring guests Raven-Symoné and Miranda May.

But it isn’t the first time he’s been in the spotlight, Reed has accomplished a lot of things at a very young age. Here are a few things you should know about his personal and professional endeavors.

Reed Started Acting at 5

Reed was born on August 3, 2005, in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA. He currently lives in Los Angeles with his family.

The 15-year-old began his acting in community plays at five through his school, church, and Porch Productions. However, he was not so serious about making a career in acting back then.

In 2015, his major role as Donkey in a summer camp play of Shrek Jr. ignited a more serious interest and love for acting in him. The play was directed by the North Carolina Children's Theater.

Played Young Simba in ‘The Lion King’ Musical

Reed gave acting a serious try in 2017 and auditioned for Disney's The Lion King musical. He was then cast as Young Simba and performed with the North American Rafiki Company. He also featured as Young Simba on Broadway and on the National Tour.

At just the age of 12, the talented young actor performed in 13 cities over ten months, appearing in four of the eight shows each week.

Reed was approached to accompany the award-winning Broadway musical while on tour, and he played Young Simba for three months before landing his role on Just Roll With It.

Aside from this, he will soon be seen on Netflix’s adaptation of 13 The Musical.

He Played Owen Blatt in ‘Just Roll With It’

Just Roll With It was the first live, interactive sitcom to air on Disney Channel in August 2019. The unique series is a mix between a scripted family sitcom and an improvisational comedy, with studio audience members voting on the fate of specific sequences.

And through it all, the intuitive actors just roll with the situation no matter what life and the live viewers throw at them.

The story follows the Bennett-Blatt family, which includes preteen step-siblings Blair and Owen, and their parents Rachel and Byron.

The sitcom shows how the family handles everyday family life and the highs and lows of adolescence while juggling a household of four diverse personalities.

Reed portrays Owen Blatt, a talented student who relies on meticulous timetables and being well-organized, in the Disney show.

Along with it, he also tries to control his dynamic and inventive father, Byron, a radio host on BEATZ 101.

Reed Enjoys Singing

When he is not performing on stage, Reed enjoys singing, having Nerf fights, playing different games including board games, go-karting, basketball, and bonding with his younger sister, Skylar.

The teenager also enjoys spending time with his family and friends.

Reed has also uploaded a few of his cover songs like ‘I Need’ by Clark Beckham and ‘Stand Up’ by Cynthia Erivo on his official YouTube channel.

He Is a Sickle Cell Anemia Warrior

The actor is a Sickle Cell Anemia warrior and an advocate for individuals who suffer from the condition.

Sickle Cell Anemia is an inherited condition in which the body's supply of healthy red blood cells is insufficient to transport oxygen throughout the body.

Reed is determined not to let his illness define him, and he hopes to encourage others to follow their aspirations no matter what obstacles they face.
