American television journalist Giselle Fernandez, not only has her career on the rise but also a family to look after. But is the family complete?

Born on 15 May 1961, Giselle Fernandez was raised in East Lost Angeles in the US. She graduated from California State University, Sacramento in 1982 earning B.A. in Journalism.

The 57-year-old anchor started her television career in 1983 at KRDO-TV and KEYT-TV. She joined KTLA as a reporter and weekend anchor in 1985 after being recommended by actor Fess Parker. Giselle eventually moved to CBS-owned WBBM-TV in Chicago and CBS's newly owned station, WCIX in 1989.

Taking her first national news job for CBS News in October 1991, Giselle became a backup anchor and correspondent for the morning, evening, and weekend news broadcasts. She moved to NBC later, anchoring the weekend edition of the Today Show and also filled in for Brian Williams on NBC Nightly News.

During her period of national news coverage, Giselle reported on the unrest in Haiti, the crisis from Cuban immigration, the trial of the conspirators from 1993 World Trade Center bombing, and the 1989 US invasion of Panama among many other major events.

Co-hosting for Access Hollywood from 1996 to 1999, she went to co-host This Week in History on the History Channel and in October 2001, Giselle rejoined KTLA after returning to Los Angeles.

Giselle has been involved in a romantic relationship with men before and has shared the wound of losing the people she loved.

Giselle, while she was in Chicago at the beginning of her career, first fell for her new director Ron Kershaw while working for CBS network. Back then she, along with her boyfriend, knew the risks of dating in the workplace.

However, the couple was doing well until tragedy stroke on their happy future, as Ron got diagnosed with pancreatic cancer that took him away from Giselle forever.  

Giselle, who is also a filmmaker, was soon married to John Farrand, a business executive on 27 November of 2002 at their Beverly Hills home. She shared 11 years of her life with her husband John, and then things turned sour between the two.

Giselle then ended things with John, with whom she shares a 7-year-old daughter. Giselle filed for the legal separation from John citing irreconcilable differences back in April of 2014.

During her divorce, Giselle, on her legal documents, did not ask for spousal support. She even stated that she was the breadwinner in the family looking after their needs, earning $41,667 per month and enjoying quite an impressive sum of net worth. However, Giselle stated for joint custody in raising her only child.

Meanwhile, Giselle has been playing her part witnessing the growth of her daughter, making sure she gets everything to fulfill her desire. The mother and daughter share a strong bond which is evident through Giselle's Instagram.  

Previously, Giselle posted a picture of her daughter in Camp Nou, the home stadium of FC Barcelona during their visit to Barcelona. She also shared her child's photo clicked on a bridge during their visit to Mystical Gerona, Spain.

Adding to it Giselle shared a picture with her daughter wrapping her arms around her and sharing big smiles together. She captioned the image stating her belief that there is nothing better than having her daughter by her side and in her arms.

Well, she does share a loving bond with her daughter. But the bond she shares with her daughter's father is still a mystery. Nothing much about their relationship has surfaced the media after the news of Giselle filling divorce. Regardless, Giselle has stood firm and gone through all the hardship that life threw at her achieving shinning career and prosperous family life.
