If you are an HGTV fan, you probably are familiar with Dave Marrs and his wife Jenny Marrs, who star in the reality show 'Fixer to Fabulous'. Fans of the show aren't just curious about which historic home the duo will restore next; they're also curious about a tattoo that Dave has just under his right bicep.

The tattoo is rarely visible and occasionally seen when the show host raises his arm while wearing a t-shirt. He rarely (if ever) talks about it. So, upon frequent questioning, Jenny revealed back in 2017 that the tattoo is in Hebrew and that its meaning is rooted in her husband’s strong faith in Christianity.

A clear picture of the tattoo is hard to find on public platforms, but a video shot by Dave with a selfie stick reveals it to some extent.

Dave And His Wife Are Devout Christians And Ardent Humanitarians

Viewers of Fixer to Fabulous admire Dave Marrs and his wife for the mid-western values they uphold. These include being friendly, simplistic, down-to-earth, and advocating Christianity.

In an interview with At Home in Arkansas, the couple revealed that their typical day usually begins by waking up around 6, and starting the day with quiet time and reading the Bible. They aren’t just passive believers either, meaning they are always looking to do more than recite a prayer and an Amen for those in need.

Talking about being down-to-earth, the reality show hosts have adopted an orphaned child (named Sylvie) from the Democratic Republic of the Congo and contributed money on numerous occasions to help feed hungry children.

Besides that, the kind-hearted duo also runs a blueberry farm in Northwest Arkansas to provide educational opportunities for orphaned and at-risk teenage boys in Marondera, Zimbabwe. They have partnered with Pastor John Chinyowa, the head of an orphanage in Zimbabwe, to help fund and train the youth there since, after turning 18, they often become delinquents. Through funding support from the Berry Farm, the Zimbabwean orphanage youth get vocational training to prepare them for adulthood.

Interestingly, the blueberry is very symbolic to the couple as berries are crops that continue to yield fruit over a long time. As the farm's website notes, "if you nurture berries and properly care for them, their investment will span decades." This is similar to "the way we are investing in the lives of the children in our program."

As per an Instagram post, the TV show personalities have also helped Pastor John set up a new church.

Dave’s Tattoo Further Signifies His Faith In God

Considering the upright, decent, and conservative image that fans have of the Marrs family, most are surprised that Dave even has a tattoo. That has probably been a reason behind all that curiosity surrounding it.

While Dave has rarely spoken about it, his wife informed fans that the tattoo has an important meaning for her husband, who holds strong convictions with his Christian faith.

She explained that the writing is of the Hebrew scripture and means “My Deliverer” “from Psalm 18:2. It’s a passage that might have an even deeper meaning for Dave, depending on what his thoughts were when he had it done.

The TV show host’s Hebrew tattoo meaning can be understood more clearly from the full passage of the psalm:

The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I call to the LORD, who is worthy of praise, and I am saved from my enemies. The cords of death entangled me; the torrents of destruction overwhelmed me.

The Marrs Family Includes The Couple, Five Children, And A Whole Bunch Of Farm Animals And Pets

Dave Marrs has an adorable family. The gorgeous couple currently has their hands full with five children, all below the age of 10. Their youngest son Luke is just over a year old, their daughters Charlotte and Sylvie are 5 and 7 respectively, and their twin boys Nathan and Ben are 9.

On December 20, Dave posted an adorable picture of his 5 children getting dirty in the mud.

Apart from those little troublemakers, the Marrs household is also home to twelve sheep, a llama, half a dozen cows (with babies due soon!), a dozen chickens, three dogs, and two kittens!

The TV show couple stated in an interview that their family is their foremost priority. Despite their super busy schedules, they have set strict boundaries on their time in the evening and on the weekend to protect their time together as a family.
