American journalist Erin Burnett has been in the public eye for years, working in various news networks. But besides being a career-oriented lady, she is also a family-oriented person.

Erin Burnett Met Husband on Blind Date

The CNN anchor is married to her husband, David Rubulotta, a managing director at Citigroup.

The lovers met on a blind date in 2004 when Burnett was working as a stocks editor for Bloomberg. They continued their dating relationship for seven years and got engaged in 2011.

In December 2012, Burnett tied the knot with her partner. She wore a red wedding dress at her wedding that took place at City Hall in New York City. For her reception, she wore a gold, floor-length beaded gown by Carmen Marc Valvo couture.

According to People, she hired a classical guitarist to play Christmas carols and remarked on the holiday nuptial:

Christmas is our favorite time of year. We thought it would be the perfect time to get married.

Has Three Children with Partner

A year after their marriage, Burnett and her husband welcomed their first-born baby boy Nyle Thomas Burnett Rubulotta. He was born on November 29, 2013. Then they welcomed their second child, a daughter, named Colby Isabelle.

We are so excited for number three. As one of three myself, I think it’s a lucky number!.

Burnett was born on July 2, 1976, at Mardela Springs, Maryland. She stands at a height of 5 feet 6 inches.

She is the youngest daughter of Esther Margaret and Kenneth King Burnett. Her father was a corporate attorney.

After graduation, she started her career as an investment banker for Goldman Sachs.

She got into journalism when she got offered a position at CNN as a writer and booker for CNN's Moneyline with Stuart Varney, Willow Bay, and Lou Dobbs.

She left the post to work for the digital media group Citigroup as its vice president. Later, she went onto join Bloomberg Television as the stock editor and anchor.

She covered countless breaking news stories, including the Paris and Brussels terror attacks. She has reported from Iran, Afghanistan, Cuba, Israel, and across Africa and Asia throughout her career.
