Pedro Pascal knew better than to say ‘no’ to the gay roles he got when he was struggling to find a place as an aspiring movie star back in the days. He is long past the struggle by now- a result of soaring dedication. But, the defect that came out of it is the consistent question on his sexuality. Pascal is a Chilean-American actor known for his portrayal of Oberyn Martell in the fourth season of the HBO fantasy series Game of Thrones, and  Javier Peña on Netflix’s Narcos among many other TV shows. He is confirmed to act in the lead role, The Mandalorian in the upcoming live-action Star Wars on Disney+. He is a busy man in the industry and his other new project includes a leading role in the lined up movie, Wonder Woman 1984.

His acting gig is not restricted to TV shows alone. He holds an extensive stage experience and even received the  Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award and Garland Award for his role in the International City Theater production of Orphans.

The Chile native was born on 2 April 1975 Santiago as José Pedro Balmaceda Pascal to parents who opposed the US-backed military dictatorship of Augusto Pinochet during the time he was born. He never got to grow up in his birthplace as his parents were granted political asylum in Denmark after the opposition won.
