Chase Stokes and Madelyn Cline rightfully proved why they deserved to win Best Kiss at the 2021 MTV Movie & TV Awards as they brought their real-life romance to life on stage on May 16, 2021. 

The real-life pair, who play on-screen lovers John B and Sarah Cameron in Netflix hit series, Outer Banks, shared a passionate kiss during their acceptance speech as the audience cheered them on. 

"Thank you, MTV. Thank you to the fans for supporting the show," Stokes said. "You guys are so passionate and wonderful. This is you, this is all you," Cline added.

The actor continued to thank the makers and the entire team behind making the show successful. “I feel like there are so many people I want to thank that I'm not sure of. I'm kind of panicking right now," a nervous Stokes said before Cline jumped in to say, "Shut up," and seized the deal with a sultry smooch on his lips. 

The 23-year-old actress looked gorgeous in a black top and matching pants with middle-parted hair. The actor looked sharp in a red-colored suit paired with the same colored t-shirt. One could say the romance was as red hot as the 28- year-old actor’s outfit.

The duo were major couple goals with their looks and the sizzling chemistry.

The couple grabbed the award and beat out Regé-Jean Page and Phoebe Dynevor from Bridgerton, Killing Eve stars Jodie Comer and Sandra Oh, Emily in Paris stars Lily Collins and Lucas Bravo, and Maitreyi Ramakrishnan and Jaren Lewison from Never Have I Ever.

Confirmed The Relationship in June 2020

The two initially met on the sets of Outer Banks in April 2020. The show premiered during the early stages of the pandemic because of which Stokes and Cline were quarantined together along with other co-stars.

Shortly after the show’s launch, Chase announced that he and Cline were dating — much like their characters — in a sweet Instagram post in June 2020. Just a month later, in an interview with HollywoodLife in July 2021, Chase revealed he was "super excited" about the burgeoning romance.

Similarly, in interaction with Entertainment Tonight in November 2020, Cline gave an update about their relationship and gushed “love is tight.”. She further explained that it’s amazing to share the experience with her favorite person and is very happy with her boyfriend. 

We can expect to see even more romance between the couple both on-screen and offscreen since Netflix recently confirmed that Season 2 of Outer Banks will premiere this summer.  

Although no firm date has been set, the teen drama is reported to be released within three months so the wait shouldn't be too long. Netflix also released six new pictures from Season 2 of Outer Banks with a glimpse of most of the season 2 cast.
