Leslie Lopez, the morning meteorologist for ABC7 Eyewitness, and her husband, Michael Boos Cruise, have been together since 2016. The pair share an adorable son who often makes appearances on Lopez's social media. Lopez's husband, Michael Boos Cruise, is a Southwest Airlines pilot.

He studied at US Airforce Academy for four years. Lopez revealed her husband's education center while posting a picture of herself and her father at the site, through a Facebook post dated October 2018. She stated in the caption that she loved exploring some of his past.

Before flying as a commercial pilot, Boos Cruise was a government officer in the US Air Force. How do we know that? Well, the TV personality's social media post shows her and her cousin donning Boos Cruise's old air force jackets.

Leslie Lopez Has A Son; Posts Adorable Pictures On Instagram

Lopez, who announced her wedding with Boos on August 15, 2016 (a day after the actual wedding date), has a very adorable son named Nolan.

Nolan was born right after the COVID pandemic started—on April 4, 2020.

She posted a picture of her son when he was just 12 days old. The photo shows her pilot husband kissing Nolan adorably, and according to Lopez, their son had funny reactions to the kiss.

Similarly, Lopez shared another picture of the duo on Father's day when Nolan was 11 weeks old, stating how great a father Michael already was.

 Besides spending time with his parents, the adorable Nolan has also appeared with his mother at work at the ABC7 studio. 

Lopez's Career Started As A Part-time Reporter And A Weekend Weather Anchor

Leslie Lopez has a Bachelor of Science degree from Mississippi State University, where she studied Broadcast Meteorology and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.

Her career started as a part-time reporter and a weekend weather anchor for KGET, a channel affiliated to NBC. She also worked as a weekday morning weather and traffic anchor, fill-in anchor, and host at KUSI in San Diego. 

Her bio on the ABC7 website states that she has enjoyed working as a reporter, a host, and an anchor. However, her expertise and passion for meteorology are where her true calling lies.

Apart from her usual role as a meteorologist, Lopez also assists in hosting the show 'On The Red Carpet' at the Academy Award with her co-workers Roshumba Williams, Karl Schmid, and George Pennacchio.
