Jason Derulo and Girlfriend Jena Frumes' Pregnancy Journey — Baby Fever’s Kicking In

With multi-platinum singles like ‘Wiggle,’ ‘Talk Dirty,’ and ‘Want to Want Me,’ Jason Derulo is one of the most successful artists in the music industry. Apart from music, he has also been lucky with love. 

He had been dating model Jena Frumes since 2020 when they met at a luxury gym Equinox, and now the couple is expecting their first child. 

Here are all the details we know about their pregnancy journey so far.

Derulo’s Baby Fever

In a fun interview with actress Drew Barrymore on her talk show The Drew Barrymore Show, Derulo talked about the experience of expecting his first child with girlfriend Frumes and how he had just started getting a baby fever when he met her.  

He shared that he was very grateful that everything had happened at the right time and was excited that they were having a baby boy.

The singer had been longing to start his own family; then, he met his model girlfriend at the perfect time. Everything clicked, and now Frumes is pregnant with their first child. 

Talking about pregnancy complications, he shared that they were having a very smooth pregnancy with his baby momma in good health with no such difficulty apart from the frequent baby kicks.

He further joked that every time his girlfriend feels those kicks, he pictures the baby dancing. He also added that having a baby girl was going to be next on his list. 

Though this is not the first time, the singer had talked about having baby fever.

Back in August 2020, PageSix had asked the singer if he had gotten a baby fever seeing his close attachment with his 4-year-old niece, Skylar, to which he replied that even though he had reached that age of wanting a child of his own he was still not sure. 

Pregnancy Announcement And Gender Reveal

The couple had first announced the pregnancy news on March 29 via their social media. 

The singer shared a romantic video of the couple at the beach; they walked around and enjoyed each other's company with the caption that he was excited to start this new chapter in his life. The video ended with the words "Coming Soon" written in the sand. 

Frumes had also shared a photo of the pair on her Instagram with the caption, "Mom & Dad."

Before the gender reveal, the singer had posted a playful video of the couple guessing the gender of the baby, with Derulo expecting it to be a boy and his better half expecting it to be a girl.

Derulo’s wish came true as he again took to Instagram to share the joyous news with his fans. 

He posted a small reel that contained the pair dancing and enjoying their time with friends and family at the Bahamas resort. The clip ended with blue fireworks display revealing the gender of the baby as a boy.

The couple also recently had a baby shower amongst their close group of family and friends. Derulo had shared a series of pictures of the event on his Instagram.

Frumes’ Pregnancy And TikTok 

The pair are very active on TikTok and have been sharing many funny and heartwarming content of their pregnancy journey with their millions of fans. Derulo had recently shared a wholesome TikTok of the couple’s visit to the hospital of getting an ultrasound with the question asking the fans which parent the baby resembled. 

Derulo had also shared a funny TikTok of Frumes, making him do things such as shaving, getting up from the floor, and picking up their pet snake with a belly like hers. 

With all the posts about the pregnancy, the couple and the fans are excited about their baby’s birth.
