Gwen Stefani’s Dream of Marrying Husband Blake Shelton Came True ━ All You Need to Know about the Wedding
"Dreams do come true!!!," Gwen Stefani announced in her first Instagram post after taking the vows with country legend Blake Shelton.
After making her fans wait for what felt like forever, Stefani finally announced her wedding with her boyfriend of six years to fans over the weekend of the Fourth of July holidays.
...And They Said, 'I Do!'
The pop star took to her Instagram on July 5, 2021, to share a trio of snaps of her special day.
The first picture saw Shelton embracing his beautiful bride from behind and landing a loving peck on her forehead.
The twilight skies laid out wisps of pink-flecked clouds as if it was making a deliberate effort to put up the perfect backdrop for the newlyweds.
Following suit, the next snap in the series caught the groom driving Stefani away in a golf cart as she posed for the camera.
The angelic bride beamed a full smile and showed off her toned legs under her classic Vera Wang dress.
The cart was decorated with white tulle while the bride was held up a bouquet of white flowers.
Lastly, there was a picture of the couple sharing a kiss next to their towering wedding cake while each of them cradled a glass of sparkling wine. Shelton and Stefani were truly the picture of marital bliss.
Stefani's Majestic Bridal Dress
As for the bride's wedding dress, Vera Wang shared a snap on their official Instagram showcasing the exquisite bridal gown.
In the captions, the boutique designer described the dress as a custom lily-white silk georgette and hand tumbled tulle high low gown with a plunging neckline and a cut-away back.
The bridal dress was complemented with a chapel-length veil. Along the hem of the flowing veil, the bride wore the names of every member of her family, including herself.
The hem of the veil featured hand-embroidered names of Blake, Gwen, Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo flanked by two white roses.
For the reception, the new bride chose an Italian silk crepe and hand tumbled tulle strapless mini dress with hand-pieced silk, crystal, and sequin embroidered foliage delicately trickling from the waist down the skirt.
The pair of hand-sewn love birds brought the embroidery to life as it resembled the couple. There were joined by three baby love birds, each representing one of Stefani's children.
Been a Power Couple for Over Five Years
According to Stefani's Instagram, the couple got married on July 3, 2021, after being engaged for less than a year.
The couple first met on the sets of The Voice, where they were both coaches. However, when they first met, neither of them was single.
Shelton was married to country singer Miranda Lambert whereas Stefani was with her ex-husband Gavin Rossdale. Coincidentally, both Blake and Stefani got divorced from their respective spouses in 2015. By the end of the year, the two were dating.
The power couple dated for five more years before Shelton popped the question on October 17, 2020, and as of this writing, they are officially man and wife!
