Griffin Dunne Still Looks to Be in Good Terms with His Ex-wife Carey Lowell

On the occasion of their daughter’s birthday, American actor Griffin Dunne wished his daughter, Hannah Dune, a “Happy Birthday” on Instagram while also tagging his ex-wife Carey Lowell in the caption.
Dunne and his ex-spouse Carey Lowell welcomed their daughter named Hannah Dunne on April 29, 1990. Hannah followed in her parents’ footsteps in pursuing a career in acting and modeling. She is well known for her role as Lizzie Campbell in the Amazon TV series, Mozart in the Jungle. Dune posted a black and white close-up shot of his daughter with a cute caption and tagged his ex-wife, Lowell.

A year later, Dunne wished his little girl a happy birthday in a similar manner with his daughters’ photo and a birthday caption that addressed his baby mama, Lowell.
On June 17, 2019, the former couple’s daughter uploaded a picture on Instagram with her father. Young Hannah held on to her father’s hand and cried as Griffin clenched her tightly.
Both Griffin and Carey commented on her post. Lowell wrote, “Love this,” whereas the father commented, “This kills me. Love you Daughter of Mine”.
Dune and Lowell first met in 1988, and after seeing each other for a year, they tied the knots on September 9, 1989. The pair, however, ended their marriage 6 years later, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split. But judging from these Instagram posts, perhaps the two share an amicable bond for the sake of their daughter.

After the split, The After Hour actor married wife number 3, Anna Bingemann, an Australian stylist, on July 2009. The duo had first met at actor Uma Thurman’s birthday party and are still together.
Dune was initially married to Kate Forte but annulled their marriage a year later, while Lowell was married to photographer John Stember before Dune. Following the divorce with Dune, Lowell dated actor Richard Gere for 7 years. They finally tied the knot in 2002. But 11 years after their marriage, the couple departed their ways.
The reason behind the couple’s split was reported to be their different lifestyle choices. Gere, as a devout Buddhist, prefers a private life while Lowell enjoys socializing. A source close to the couple revealed:
They(Lowell and Gere) have a place in Bedford, NY, and he likes it because it’s quiet, and he likes the solitude. She enjoys being in North Haven in the limelight.
Lowell has a son Homer James Jigme Gere, born in 2000, with Richard.
