Jane the Virgin actress Gina Rodriguez married Joe LoCicero on May 4, 2019. The actress appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where she revealed that she first met her husband on the set of dramedy.

About How They First Met

When on The Tonight Show in January 2019, the Puerto Rican actress flaunted a fabulous ring on her ring finger, letting the world know she is now engaged. 

After Fallon complimented her ring, he asked how the two met, and her answer was just as astounding. Rodriguez revealed that the two first met on the set of Jane The Virgin, where Lociero was playing the role of a stripper.

The actress cheekily said:

Jane was super against it and super terrified, and just, like, doesn’t know what to do with all that. But Gina does.

Rodriguez revealed that they actually got together when they met for the second time in the boxing gym, six months after they shot together. And it was indeed the boxing gym that brought the duo together.

Rodriguez Loves Her Man

In the show, the Miss Bala actress mentioned a couple of times how she feels so lucky to have found the love of her life. However, that is not the first time the actress has publicly showered LoCicero with love.

The actress has showcased their bond through several posts on her Instagram page. Recently, on January 2, 2020, the actress posted a picture of the two locking eyes and ready to dance, dressed up in vintage prom clothes. The backdrop had pink and blue balloons, and they stood beside a vintage roman flower pot atop a roman pillar. It looked like they were a part of an 80s party.

In the picture, Rodriguez had a perm, and her hubby had his long hair slicked backward. In the caption, she wished her fans a happy new year and addressed LoCicero as her "main man."

What’s even more adorable is how she has addressed her current hubby as her king in almost every picture the actress posted of the two.

Even before they were engaged, the actress posted a picture of the two together on August 10, 2017, marking the occasion of LoCicero’s birthday. In the picture, Rodriguez was wearing an off-shoulder white floral dress with red and pink flowers, and LoCicero was in a black short and white printed t-shirt carrying a red bag.

In the photo, the two adorned beautiful smiles and were in each other’s embrace. In the caption, the actress wrote, “To my king. I love you. Happy birthday. #sexiestmanAlive”
