Late Singer Bradley Nowell’s Wife Still Remembers Him as Her ‘Immortal Beloved’ Despite Marrying Another Man

In 1996, the news of Bradley Nowell's sudden death took a toll on the fans of the 90's band Sublime and the music industry as a whole. However, the singer's demise left the biggest scar on his then-newly-wed wife Troy Dendekker and their then 11-month-old son Jakob James Nowell.

It has been over 20 years since that incident, but the late guitarist's wife still remembers her late husband and refers to him as her "immortal beloved." As the age-old saying goes: true love never dies.

Dendekker Still Remembers Nowell

"Something tragic has become something beautiful because of all the love and support from all of you," late Nowell's wife Dendekker wrote on her Instagram, remembering the singing-sensation on his 52nd birthday in February 2020. In another birthday post, she wished him a happy birthday and referred to him as her "immortal beloved."

I just wanna thank everyone for making today and every day since Bradley left us, making these days easier, making a day that could be sad, happy, nothing but love. Thank you for celebrating Brad’s Birthday with us. I just can’t begin to express the gratitude and how blessed I feel.

But that is one of many instances when Dendekker has remembered her late husband—she is expressive about her love for him even after his demise.

In one such instance, the Columbia native shared a picture of her and Nowell. The heart-melting snap featured the late singer with his arms around his beloved while she was lost in the bliss of his embrace. 

She Had A Son With Nowell

According to LiveRampup, the relationship between Dendekker and Nowell started in the early 1990s. Soon, the news of their relationship was made public as Nowell took her on his musical tours.

Their relationship took a turn when the two announced that Dendekker was pregnant with Nowell's child in October 1994. On June 25, 1995, they welcomed their first child, Jakob James Nowell.

However, the two had not married when they became parents. But the wedding was just eleven months away from the birth of their child—they got married in a Hawaiian-themed ceremony in Las Vegas on May 18, 1996, a week before Norwell's fatal encounter. 

Presently, Dendekker and Nowell's son Jakob is following in his father's footsteps, as he has also been making a name in the music field.

She Got Married To Another Man

Despite the love for her late husband, Dendekker got married to Kiki Holmes in 2002, six years after Nowell's death, according to Jukebugs.

However, both Dendekker and Holmes have managed to keep their personal life private—because of that, not many details about the pair is known.

That being said, Live Rampup reported in January 2018 that Holmes adopted Dendekker and Nowell's son Jakob after getting married to Dendekker.
