Zooey Deschanel Had Instant Chemistry with Boyfriend Jonathan Scott

Zooey Deschanel and boyfriend Jonathan Scott first met while filming for Carpool Karaoke in August 2019.
When news of their getting together first came out, it was revealed that the actress and Scott had hit it off almost instantly.
Scott described their first meeting as a pleasant surprise, as he hadn’t expected to meet someone with who he was so compatible.
“It’s definitely special for me,” he shared. “Because I am the guy who raises the bar in what I’m looking for in a partner. I was caught off guard.”
When talking with ET, Deschanel similarly gushed about her relationship with Scott.
“He completes me,” she said. “We’re like a really great pair. I think we’re very complimentary… I think it’s nice because we’re both people who like to do things for each other.”
Deschanel further explained they got along great and had a great time quarantining together. Especially because she enjoyed cooking a lot and Scott enjoyed fixing things.

Deschanel and Scott began dating in September 2019. Sometime later, the actress and her boyfriend enjoyed a live taping of Dancing With the Stars alongside his twin brother Drew Scott and his wife, Linda Phan.
A month after they started dating, Deschanel and Scott went Instagram official in October 2019 with a Halloween-themed photograph with his brother Drew and Phan.
Posing alongside several robed skeletons holding chainsaws, the pair had a big smile on their faces as she leaped into his arms.

“So much fun last night. That high pitched scream totally wasn’t me,” Scott captioned the post.
Since then, the couple has hit multiple relationship milestones and often shares them on their Instagram.
In January 2022, Scott shared several pictures from the party he planned for Deschanel’s birthday.
“Fun fact… I love to plan an intimate party,” he wrote. “Especially for this gal. It’s all about the details…”
Zooey Deschanel and Boyfriend Renovated their House
Deschanel and her boyfriend revealed in the Winter 2022 issue of Drew + Jonathan Reveal that they had purchased a house together in May 2020.
“When we first brought [Zooey’s] kids by the property, they dubbed it the park house,” he shared.
“And you know what happens when you name something, whether it’s a mangy stray dog or a beautiful home of your dreams? You keep it. The next thing you know, Zooey and I owned the park house.”
Zooey shares two kids — daughter Elsie Otter and son Charlie Wolf — with her ex-husband, Jacob Pechenik, whom she married on June 21, 2015. They completed their divorce on June 24, 2020.
Scott also called the house their “dream home” and said they would spend the rest of their lives together there.
Not long after they made the purchase, the New Girl star and Scott began renovating it. He also revealed they would share their renovation journey through the next few issues of Drew + Jonathan Reveal in an Instagram post.
