Tyler Rich first rose to prominence in the country music scene in 2018, along the same time as his friend Jimmie Allen. His song 'The Difference' made way for his rise in the industry.

This song was inspired by his now-wife, Sabina Gadecki. She has since had a hand in many of his other hits, thus contributing to his constant success.

'The Difference' was Rich's debut single, released in early 2018. The song showcases his sensitive side in a relationship.

The track is about how Rich is ready for something more in a relationship, the next move, with a girl he has a crush on. It is about commitment to someone.

And he took direct inspiration from his own relationship with then-fiancée Sabina for the lyrics.

The couple had met in 2016 at the Stagecoach Festival. And they dated for around two years before he proposed to her.

In lyrics like "I'm over dodging this crush" and "I'm more than just a weekend binge," Rich expresses his feelings for Sabina during their dating years.

Soon after its release, the song became a number one hit on SiriusXM's The Highway list.

And it achieved continued success much after it was out. On November 4, 2021, the song gained Platinum certification in Canada after a Gold certification on May 21, 2019.

Similarly, the track received Gold certification from RIAA in the US on April 14, 2020.

Tyler Rich's Other Hit Songs about His Wife

Rich has always written songs about his life and what's happening in it. His breakups would make their way into his songs.

He once used to think he probably would never be the one writing songs about his wife. But, once Sabina entered his life, his thoughts on that changed.

It reached a point where all he could think about while writing tracks was Sabina. "What else would I write about?" he told E! Online.

In 2019, Rich released another single named 'Leave Her Wild.' And similar to 'The Difference,' this was also about her and their experiences.

During an interview with People in June 2019, he talked about the song and how it came to be.

While talking about what the song was about, he said that he had been in and seen people in controlling relationships. He spent his time molding the person into someone he wished she was.

But he recognized that was wrong, and leaving them as the person they were was the right thing to do.

Then, he revealed Sabina had been in such a relationship. During their dating years, he let her be herself.

This prompted her friends to thank him for giving them their friend back. This incident hit him hard.

This incident and her favorite poem, which had similar sentiments, led him to create 'Leave Her Wild.'

During the interview mentioned above with E! Online, the singer-songwriter also revealed how he came up with his latest sensation, 'Better Than You're Used To.'

This one, too, came from his experience with his wife.

When the couple first met, Sabina was going through a breakup. And she was not in that good a place for a relationship.

Rich realized she deserved better than what she was experiencing. So, he shot his shot.

He had to slide into her DMs, but it eventually worked out.

He called the song "an anthem for everybody that has found love and everybody that needs that right person."

After their first meeting back in 2016, they took their sweet time to take the next step in their relationship.

On July 10, 2018, he proposed to her, and she said yes.

Then came their wedding. On September 20, 2019, the couple tied the knot.

They celebrated their second wedding anniversary together this year, something he still does not seem to comprehend completely.
