The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Rinna has sported several hairstyles in the past few years.

But before that, the actress received a lot of flak for keeping the same hairstyle for 20 years. Here’s a look at Rinna’s hair transformation over the years.

Favorite Hairdo

For the vast majority of the time that Rinna has appeared on screen, she has stuck to her signature hairstyle of a razor textured shaggy bob haircut.

Though she made minor changes here and there, the look remained largely the same for two decades.

It was only in 2016 that Rinna finally agreed to change her look. She unveiled her new hairstyle during an episode of Bravo TV’s Watch What Happens Next in May 2016.

When asked if the change came about because of all the heat she received for not changing her hairstyle, she answered saying it did.

Rinna also added that she had the same hairdo for 20 years because she really liked it.

“I wanted to try something new. I like my hairdo though. For 20 years, I’ve had the same hairdo… and I thought why not... I darkened it a little bit.”

She further shared that she had done her new hairdo by herself, buying everything she needed for the change from a drugstore just the day before.

Argument Over Rinna’s Hair

A year before Rinna debuted her fresh look, she had gotten into an argument with Brandi Glanville during the season 5 reunion of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Playful exchanges of comments over the season eventually turned into an argument during the reunion where the two poked at each other’s looks.

Rinna’s comment of Glanville looking like a “trashy mom” wasn’t received well by Glanville. Rinna later clarified she was just joking.

She also explained that she didn’t mean to insult Glanville's parenting and only made the remark jokingly based on her looks.

Glanville responded by making a comment that Rinna shouldn’t talk about things based on looks because of her hairdo.

We had gotten along for so long. Listen, you’ve had the same hairdo for 20 years and you’re basing it on my look?

Experimenting With New Hairstyles And Wigs

After changing her hairdo once, Rinna caught the bug for trying different hairdos and has since opted for several very different looks.

After her first change, she went back to her signature bob haircut and then into a slicked-back ponytail in September 2018.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star often explores newer hairdos and wigs and even gives a name to many of them. She shares the results of the wigs on her Instagram.

Back in March 2020, the reality star shared four looks in a single day, including a red curly bob which she named Sasha and a blonde wig with great volume which she paired with a quote attributed to Queen of France, Marie Antoinette.
