Who Is Kate Moss Model Daughter Lila Grace Moss-Hack?
Kate Moss is one of the most famous models ever to grace the catwalk, and it’s no surprise that her only child Lila Grace Moss followed in her footsteps. Besides looking like her mother, the 18-year-old also works the runway like her.
Recently, at London Fashion Week’s final show, Lila opened for Richard Quinn, while her mother was beaming proudly from the front row.
Lila strutted the runway confidently in a bright red bandeau jumpsuit with a large bow on the front with a chunky crystal necklace.
Her hair was slicked back into a low bun, which complemented her bleached eyebrows.
Lila has made quite the name for herself as a model in recent years, proving to the world that she inherited her mum's genes. So let's find out a little more about the young rising star.
Lila Grace Moss' Modeling Career
Lila was fated to be in the fashion industry. Not only is her mother a legendary supermodel, but her father, Jefferson Hack, is the Creative Director and Dazed Media co-founder. Her parents reportedly met during Kate's interview for Dazed & Confused magazine in 1999.
They started dating and in 2002 had Lila but broke up soon after. However, the two of them are still on good terms, and Hack even attended Moss's wedding in 2011.
At just 14 years old, Lila was scouted by Storm Model founder Sarah Doukas as the face (and hair) of The Braid Bar. It was the same age her mother had gotten her first modeling gig.
Since then, Lila’s modeling career has progressed with increasing success. In 2018, at 16 years old, she became the face of Marc Jacobs Beauty. In the same year, she graced the cover of Dazed magazine solo, a first for the rising model.
Finally, the young model made her runway debut last December, opening for Miu Miu’s SS21 show at Paris Fashion Week. According to People, her mother got emotional seeing her daughter on the runaway.
She also admitted that she was nervous for her daughter but equally proud of her.
Lila Grace Moss Making a Statement on the Runway
Kate has every reason to be proud of her daughter,
Not only is Lila making a splash in the fashion industry, but she is also making bold statements on the runway that serves as an inspiration.
Recently, on September 26, Lila walked for the Fendi x Versace show to close out Milan Fashion Week. The model, who has type 1 diabetes, strutted the runway in a cropped jacket and a baroque-pattered bodysuit with her legs on full display.
And instead of hiding her insulin pump, she had it on display on the outer side of her left thigh. The model also shared photos and videos of her runway walk and behind-the-scenes moments from the show.
Fans noticed the pump and lauded Lila for de-stigmatizing type 1 diabetes in the fashion industry.
