Universal Pictures dropped new footage for Jurassic World: Dominion at CinemaCon in Las Vegas on August 25, 2021, and reminded everyone of the iconic reunion happening in the trilogy.

It was previously reported that the Jurassic World franchise's original actors Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, and Sam Neill would reprise their roles for Colin Trevorrow's third installment.

Dern will reprise her iconic role of Dr. Ellie Sattler, Neill will once again embody Alan Grant, and Goldblum will play Ian Malcolm.

The A-list actors will join the movie's lead characters Owen Grady, played by Chris Pratt, and Claire Dearing, portrayed by Bryce Dallas Howard.

The loyal fans of Jurassic World and its preceding projects are thrilled to watch all the legendary actors on the same screen, 30 years after the original movie hit theatres. And the joy resonated equally through the reunited actors as well.

Laura Dern on the Reunion

Dern last played Sattler in the 1993's Jurassic Park and Jurassic Park III. She is admittedly excited to return and reunite with her co-stars in the franchise, almost 20 years later.

"It was incredible to be back together," the Emmy-winning actress said while talking to People in May 2021.

Dern also elaborated on how amazing it was to go down memory lane with the original cast members and experience working with new members, including Trevorrow and Steven Spielberg.

After gushing about the return, the Marriage Story actress shared how all of them recounted the original story. In her own words, they had talked about the first CGI and the animatronics developed by Stan Winston to save the essence of their original characters.

At the end of the interview, the 54-year-old hoped her followers would be as excited as her to watch the movie after its release.

Outpouring of Ideas in the Set

Dern, Goldblum, and Neill's reunion brought fun and plenty of suggestions for Trevorrow, especially from Goldblum's side.

In an interview with ET in February 2021, Neill revealed that the director was open to suggestions. In addition, he said the filmmaker would listen to other's advice and ideas readily.

However, Neill disclosed Goldblum took the suggesting part too seriously. As per his account, the What If... actor would bring over 50 suggestions every day, driving everyone crazy.

Neill admitted he and Dern also came up with new suggestions that were openly received by the director. "We'll see how many of those things make it to the cut!" he remarked at the end of the conversation.

Jurassic World: Dominion was one of the first big-budget movies to complete its filming amid the pandemic. The filming was done in a miniature city built in England and was wrapped in November 2020.

Initially, it was slated to hit the theatres in June 2021. But the imposed lockdown and the looming threats of pandemic pushed the release date to June 10, 2022.

The movie will be the last adaption in the Jurassic World franchise. Hence, it is expected to touch down the original film's story and bring the entire saga together.
