Joe Adler became big in the entertainment industry after getting the role of Dr. Isaac Cross on Grey's Anatomy. Along with that, his roles in The Mentalist and Shameless helped, too.

With these huge roles, he became a massive public attraction. But he has never let his fame disrupt his personal life.

Adler has always been mum about his dating life. Rarely does he speak of his romantic life, but we do know his ex girlfriend had a small hand in getting him familiar with Grey's Anatomy.

Joe Adler's Dating Life Is a Mystery

Adler has rarely opened up about having a partner or being married. His public appearances with other actors and actresses are also limited.

Joe Adler's dating life remains a mystery as he has not revealed if he is married or has a partner.

This has resulted in a lack of gossip about the actor and his romantic ties. Not even Twitter has much on his love life.

There are a couple of tweets from random people mentioning Adler. One of those comes from December 7, 2011.

In the tweet, a random person tagged their friend and just said she was "dating Joe Adler," followed by a long laugh. With no context to this, there's no way of knowing whether this was anywhere near the truth.

In another instance, on June 16, 2014, someone named Dory Sevensque tweeted, saying she opened Twitter that day and saw everyone talking about Adler having a girlfriend. So, she closed Twitter.

Again, this date does not lead to anything as there are no dating rumors surrounding the actor during that period.

The actor's Instagram, too, is void of anything that suggests he has a girlfriend. Most of his posts are about his family, friends, and most of all, his mother, Alisa Adler.

Joe Adler's Ex Girlfriend Got Him into 'Grey's Anatomy'

There was one instance where Adler briefly mentioned his personal life. It isn't much, but it is something.

During an interview with Talk Nerdy With Us in October 2015, Adler, while talking about how he got on Grey's Anatomy, mentioned having a girlfriend in the past. She was into the show, as was his mother.

When asked if he had watched Grey's Anatomy before landing the part earlier that year, he admitted he had.

"I've seen many episodes because I had an ex-girlfriend who was a huge Grey's Anatomy fan, and my mother is a huge Grey's Anatomy fan as well," said Adler. This got him familiar with the tone and the style of the show.

Even though he was not an avid watcher of the show, watching it came in handy as he auditioned for the show at a later date. In a crazy turn of events, he got a call from his manager saying he was cast on the show while he was at Coachella.

Adler worked on the show for two years, from 2015 to 2017, and appeared in 18 episodes.
