Gwyneth Paltrow has been married to her husband, Brad Falchuk, since September 2018. They have a great relationship with no drama involved.

However, Falchuk isn't her first husband. Before getting into a relationship with Falchuk, Paltrow had been in a relationship with Chris Martin for over a decade.

The former couple even had two kids together. But, they went their separate ways in 2014, calling their move a "conscious uncoupling."

Gwyneth Paltrow’s Relationship with Ex Husband Chris Martin

On June 3, 2022, Paltrow and Martin both attended their 18-year-old daughter Apple Blythe Martin's high school graduation. She put up a picture of the three at her graduation ceremony.

They were all smiles in the picture, and her story read, "Congratulations to all of the graduates especially @applemartin," with a "Class of 2022" sticker beneath the picture.

Their joy together isn't a one-off thing. Paltrow and Martin have always maintained a healthy relationship after their separation in 2014. She has always spoken highly of him.

Talking about their separation, the Iron Man actress said during a podcast appearance in 2021 that she never wanted to get divorced from Martin. In an ideal world, she said, they would still be together as she never imagined separating from the father of her children.

In November 2017, just days after she got engaged to her current husband, she got both of them together for a brunch. Even while admitting that co-parenting has not always been easy, she has always kept him around and involved in family affairs.

"You know, he's my family. I love him," she said of the Coldplay singer in June 2021 during an interview with Jill Martin. But she also said that their relationship had become more like that of siblings than former lovers.

"[He] is like my brother," she said.

Paltrow isn't on good terms just with her ex husband but also with his current girlfriend, Dakota Johnson. She has spent time together with Johnson and Martin occasionally.

Therefore, Paltrow and Martin have maintained a cordial relationship for almost a decade since separating. They filed for divorce in 2014, but it was finalized only in 2016.

They have two kids together — daughter Apple (born on May 14, 2004) and son Moses (born on April 8, 2006).

Just a few months after Paltrow and Martin filed for divorce, in August 2014, news broke that she was dating Falchuk. They first met on the sets of Glee, and after a period of professional back and forth, they started dating.

They made things Instagram official in September 2015 and became engaged in November 2017. A year later, in September 2018, they got married.

Paltrow and Falchuk allowed everyone around them about a year to settle in with their relationship. And when that was done, they finally moved in together in August 2019.

With the wedding, the actress became a stepmother to Falchuk's two children — son Brody and daughter Isabella — from his previous relationship.
