Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, commonly known as Demon Slayer, is one of the best performing and most-watched anime series to date.

Continuing their renewed hype after announcing the third leg of the saga, the team has put together a Kimetsu Festival to celebrate their third anniversary. 

Following is what Yayoi Miki, a publicist from Sony Music Solutions, the franchise’s distributor, has exclusively let us know about the event.

'Demon Slayer' Celebrates with Two Dates

According to Sony Music Solutions, fans worldwide will be able to view two of the events that are part of Demon Slayer's forthcoming third-anniversary celebration. 

The two live streams will feature a special live read of an original narrative by the anime's voice cast, with one focusing on the movie Mugen Train arc and the other on the Entertainment District arc.

There will be English and traditional Chinese subtitles available. Each broadcast will need the purchase of a ticket, which will cost 4,120 yen (about USD 30 at current exchange rates).

On Friday, April 15, at 11:00 p.m. PDT, the Entertainment District event will occur, followed by the Mugen Train live read on Saturday, April 16, at 11:00 P.M. PDT. 

The official website for each event has further information, including access to pre-order tickets. 

The voice actors such as Natsuki Hanae (Tanjiro Kamado), Akari Kito (Nezuko Kamado), Hiro Shimono (Zenitsu Agatsuma), and Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Inosuke Hashibira) will be present for both live reads

Satoshi Hino, the voice actor for the beloved Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku, will participate in the Mugen Train live read.

And Katsuyuki Konishi, who plays the fan-favorite Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui, will appear exclusively at the Entertainment District arc event.

Both events are part of the ongoing commemoration of the Demon Slayer's third anniversary.

About 'Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba' 

The highly popular shonen series is produced by Ufotable, an animation studio best known for its work on Bandai Namco's Tales RPG series and multiple Fate/stay Night installments.

On April 6, 2019, Demon Slayer premiered in Japan, and it immediately became one of the most popular anime series in the world.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba - The Movie: Mugen Train, was released after the first season of the show in 2020. It became the highest-grossing anime film of all time.

The second season premiered in late 2021, and it was primarily based on an adaptation of the manga's highly renowned Entertainment District arc.

Critics praised the season for its high-quality animation and complex action choreography. Season 3 of the show is confirmed to be in the works.

Koyoharu Gotouge, a manga author, created Demon Slayer in 2016.

With over 150 million copies in print worldwide, the series has become one of Shonen Jump's biggest bestsellers in the previous decade.

The manga series is now available in English via VIZ Media, and Crunchyroll has both seasons of the anime available to view.

It is set in early twentieth-century Taish-era Japan. Every night, man-eating demons stalk the land.

Tanjiro's life is flipped upside down when he arrives home one morning to discover his entire family slain, except for his sister Nezuko, who has transformed into a monster. 

So he sets out on a mission to train for the Demon Slayer Corps, determined to avenge their murders and find a cure to turn Nezuko back into a human.

The story follows him as he joins an underground society of trained warriors dedicated to safeguarding mankind from deadly beasts.
