Courteney Cox Feels Better Without Her Plastic Surgery
Working in Hollywood, an industry obsessed with beauty and perfection can be mentally taxing.
Celebrities have often felt the pressure to keep up with the aesthetic and, as a result, turned to plastic surgery.
Most celebrities keep the fact that they have gone under the knife a secret at all costs.
But some stars have openly talked about it, and one such celebrity is Friends actress Courteney Cox.
Courteney Cox on Her Plastic Surgery
It has been over two decades since Cox starred as the obsessive-compulsive character Monica Geller in the series.
And over the years, fans have noticed that her appearance has changed dramatically.
They noticed that the actress’s face looked a lot different, sparking plastic surgery rumors.
Her then and now comparison photos were splashed all over the internet.
In 2016, according to Us Weekly, during an episode of Running Wild, Cox admitted she had plastic surgery and went overboard with fillers and anti-wrinkle injections.
“I have done things that I regret, and luckily they’re things that dissolve and go away. So, that’s good, because it’s not always been my best look,” said the actress.
Cox explained that there was pressure to look a certain way, not just because of the fame but because she was a woman.
She also spoke out about the difficulty of aging in the spotlight, especially since she grew up thinking appearance was the most important thing.
Cox told People she had a hard time accepting that she was getting older.

And in an attempt to keep up with getting older, she got lost in the world of plastic surgery.
Courteney Cox on How It All Started
During an interview with New Beauty, Cox went into detail about how the journey of plastic surgery all started.
She explained that after visiting a doctor, she got advice about getting a “little injection here or filler there.”
But once she walked out feeling confident and thinking it all looked natural, someone else would refer her to another doctor that could make her look more natural.
The actress would end up visiting the new recommended doctor, who would suggest she should get something done.
And then the cycle repeated itself, which snowballed into a disaster.
“You’re layered and layered. You have no idea because it’s gradual until you go, ‘Oh [expletive[, this doesn’t look right.’” said the actress.
She added that the results looked even worse in pictures.
Cox realized she needed to put her foot down when she saw these photos and after her close friend told her to do so.
The Cougar Town star shared that eventually, she had all her fillers dissolved and was as natural as she could be.
“I feel better because I look like myself. I think that I now look more like the person that I was,” Cox iterated.
The actress has learned to let go and felt the most confident she had ever been.
Cox noted that she was at a stage where she was comfortable with who she was and what she strived to be.
