The reporter had posted a video on his Instagram account in which he has addressed the issue.

I want to let you know that there are no hard feelings here. I signed for 3 years back in 2018. They offered me a new contract. I was given the opportunity to look at what was out there for me and I found a lot of exciting opportunities.

He stressed the opportunity to work at broadcasting giants ESPN to be "a dream come true." He further cleared that he has "no regrets" regarding the decision he made.
