Alex Rodriguez and his ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis split on non-friendly terms after their six years of marriage ended in 2008. At the time, Scurtis filed for divorce citing extramarital affairs and marital misconduct, among other things.

But that is all in the past. In the years that have since passed, the former flames have kindled an amicable co-parenting relationship for the sake of their daughters.

An Amicable Co-parenting Relationship

A source confirmed to People that the divorce was especially hard on the former teacher because she was a "very religious and family oriented" person. But over the years, Rodriguez had proven himself to be a great father.

The source further added that the couple's interactions had gotten better over the years. Hence, they ended up co-parenting in a "very positive way" for all.

Apparently, the former man and wife have mended their relationship, keeping their children ahead of everything else.

"Somehow they worked out the financial arrangements, but it was a long time coming," the source added before disclosing that the couple shares a mutual admiration for how the other handled the kids.

They Got Together After His Breakup

Amid their friendly co-parenting situation, US Weekly reported that Rodriguez's ex-fiancée Jennifer Lopez finding a new beau in Ben Affleck was a motivating factor for him getting along with his ex-wife.

Per reports, Scurtis apparently wasn't the biggest fan of his relationship with the pop star. The outlet cited an insider for the scoop and further explained that because JLo was out of the picture, she was spending more time with the kids and Rodriguez.

The source revealed that the former Major League Baseball player would invite his ex wife to accompany him and the kids to certain events or to just go out for some food. They added,

It makes the girls happy too to see their parents getting along well and getting to be together as a family again.

While it is apparent that the retired baseball star had leaned on his ex-wife, the source assured he didn't need any support to get himself through a breakup.

Instead, the source dished that he spent more time with Scurtis and her husband, Angel Nicolas, because they kept him company, and they were a part of his inner circle which he trusted.

Rodriguez's Past Relationships

However, Scurtis hadn't always been Rodriguez's first stop. After his divorce in 2008, the former shortstop was involved in more than a few high-profile relationships

Almost immediately after his divorce, he was seen with Madonna. However, their relationship was limited to rumors, with neither party acknowledging the relationship in the public eye.

In December 2020, Lopez gave fans somewhat of a closure when she seemingly confirmed the relationship. Andy Cohen had asked her if she felt strange dressing up as Madonna for Halloween, given the singer's history with Rodriguez.

Lopez denied feeling strange because the relationship was "so long ago." Rodriguez also went on a couple of dates with Real Housewives of New York alum Bethenny Frankel in 2009.

Around the same time, he was spotted with actress Kate Hudson. The then-couple concluded their romance later that same year. He also dated Cameron Diaz from 2010 to 2011.

By the end of 2011, he was linked with Torrie Wilson, but that too didn't last as the couple called it quits in 2015. Moving on, Rodriguez was with tech CEO Anne Wojcicki for a few months in 2016 before he found his way to Lopez in 2017.

Two years later, Rodriguez proposed, and the two would have been married in spring of 2020 had it not been for the global pandemic. Sadly, in March 2021, the couple called off their engagement and broke up, leading Rodriguez to where he is today.
