Bhad Bhabie, an internet star turned rapper, who came forward with allegations of physical and mental abuse at Turn-About Ranch, a teen residential facility, was overlooked by people and instead hit with mean comments and judgments.

On March 20, 2021, Bhabie, whose given name is Danielle Marie Bregoli, took to her YouTube channel to post an eight-minute-long video. She spoke up against the sexual harassment at the Escalante, Utah-based teen residential facility.

The teenage rapper spoke in support of Hannah Archuleta, a former teen resident of the facility, who was sexually assaulted by the facility’s staff member in 2019.

In February 2021, Archuleta, along with women’s rights attorney Gloria Allred and Utah attorney April Hollingsworth, filed a lawsuit against Turn-About Ranch.

In her testimony video, Bhabie further disclosed how she was transported to the facility. She said, “[the transporters] who come in in the middle of the night. They don’t tell them [the teens] where they’re going. They just take them. They handcuff them, and they put them in the car. It’s basically like a kidnapping.”

She stated that the facility denied necessary privileges, including sleeping on a bed and eating good food. The kids were forcefully restrained, and when someone reported that, they would also receive similar treatment.

That’s the thing about these places. You have no evidence. You don’t have a phone there. There’s no cameras there. There’s no evidence.

With such a bold statement, one would assume that the victims attain more support, and people would help them get legal justice. Bhabie was no different!

But in contrast, the social media star was bashed by netizens for invalid reasons, including comments on her appearance.

“Looks like her hairdresser abused her as well,” a Twitter user wrote, making fun of her hair in the video.

Another harshly added, “You are 17 for a few more days. There’s still time to send you back to the Ranch where you belong.”

Upset and disappointed with the response of many, Bhabie again took to her social media two days ago. This time she posted on Instagram and unapologetically unleashed her anger.

In her post, she uploaded a couple of video clips where she spoke about how people bashed her on the internet after coming forward with her story. She further added that she was upset about receiving unwanted comments on her appearances, especially hair, overshadowing the main topic.

The caption told a similar story, as she stated, “100% expected ppl to bash me, but that’s not what I’m upset about! I’m upset about ppl overlooking what I’m saying.”
