Little Mix lost one of its band members, Jesy Nelson, back in December, but that hasn't slowed them down. The remainder of the band — Jade Thirlwall, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and Perrie Edwards — have since teamed up with rapper Saweetie and are all set for their new release 'Confetti.'

Nelson announced her departure from the group in December because of the impact being in the band was having on her mental health. It is not yet confirmed if her vocals made it to Little Mix's new release.

Mark Your Calendars! 'Confetti' Drops On Friday!

On April 22, 2021, the girls took to their official Instagram handle to notify fans that their new track will be dropping on April 30. The post was accompanied by a video of the trio hyping their latest release—a reprised version of a track from their 2020 LP of the same name.

However, one major do-over that the track will receive will definitely be from the celebrated rapper Saweetie. It is fair to expect a new hip-hop element to the already groovy pop track.

As for the departed band member, Nelson is also gearing up to make a solo comeback sometime later this year. According to The List, she is currently in the middle of a two million pound bidding war between rival labels.

Nelson Has Music in the Pipelines

Apart from that, Nelson is also actively recording new material in the studio, which will be out by the end of the year if all goes as planned. The undisclosed source further revealed,

Jesy’s tracks have got the music industry in a spin and she has big-money offers on the table from a few key record labels all desperate to sign her.

Jesy has been busily working with the artists, including Patrick Patrikios and Hanni Ibrahim, the songwriters who helped pen Little Mix’s 2016 hit single Touch. She is certainly living up to her words that she made while quitting the BRIT Award-winning band.  For those of you who weren't in the loop, her statement at the time read, "I need to spend some time with the people I love, doing things that make me happy."

'Confetti' Tour Postponed To 2022

Things are not going as planned for her former band, though. Back in February, Little Mix confirmed that their upcoming Confetti tour had been canceled—for obvious pandemic reasons.

The girls made the announcement via a thread of Twitter posts. Although they love being on the road and performing for their fans every night, they had to prioritize the safety of their fans and crew to stop the spread. With that in mind, the tour was postponed to April 2022.

If you were one of the eager fans who'd already bought tickets, don't worry! The tickets will still be valid for their 2022 show.
