Liv and Maddie actor Tenzing Norgay Trainor has an interesting story of how he first got into acting. While most take up the trade against their parent's wishes; in Norgay's case, it's the other way around!

Read on to find out how a forceful decision by his parents unintentionally led Norgay to become a burgeoning talent in Hollywood. 

Tenzing Norgay Trainor Was A Shy Boy Growing Up

The Liv and Maddie actor spent the initial years of childhood in Plantation, Florida. As Tenzing's mother shared with The Telegraph, the Disney Star was a shy boy growing up. 

To improve his public speaking, the concerned parents enrolled an eight-year-old, Tenzing, in an acting school. 

“I did a theater camp that my dad forced me into just to be able to learn how to speak in front of people,” shared the young heartthrob during an interview with Cheatsheet in September 2019.

But after getting the hang of it, the young actor started enjoying it and thus, decided to “throw his hat in the ring” to see where acting would lead him.

He Has Worked In Over 15 Acting Projects So Far

The initial acting camp certainly did the trick, for the 19-year-old is already a familiar face in the entertainment industry today. Since his debut appearance in the TV series Stevie TV in 2012, the actor has about 18 acting credits. 

Trainor's first breakthrough project was to portray Parker Rooney's character in Disney Channel’s series Liv and Maddie in 2013. At the beginning of the show, the actor was studying in the fifth grade. Then from the fifth grade all through the middle school, he spent his life on the Disney Channel set.

After that, the actor worked on notable projects such as Knight Squad (2018), Abominable (2019), The Stranded (2019), and American Housewife (2020).

Trainor Is Related To Nepalese Mountainer Tenzing Norgay Sherpa

Born on September 4, 2001, Tenzing Norgay Trainor is the son of Clark Tulley Trainor and Deki Tenzing Norgay.

His parents named him after his grandfather [Deki’s father] Tenzing Norgay Sherpa â€‹— one of the first two men known to reach the summit of Mount Everest on May 29, 1953. Sherpa summited Mount Everest with New Zealand mountaineer Edmund Hillary.

Regarding his connection to the famed mountaineer, Norgay said that the connection was crazy and implied that he was lucky that something like that came in his way. 

As to the connection he has with my family is just really crazy. I don’t know how often something like that will come my way. 

The Liv and Maddie star also has two younger siblings: brother Kalden and sister Yonden. Kalden is famous for the videos on TikTok and also has a decent following on Instagram.
