After stepping away from CW’s Batwoman, the Resident Evil: The Final Chapter star Ruby Rose has two interesting new action-packed projects lined up for release in 2021. 

The multi-talented actor made her debut in the entertainment industry with her appearance on MTV Australia as a VJ and got her first acting gig in an Australian film Suite for Fleur. Since then, she has been showing off her versatility as an actress.

SAS Red Nation

On March 13, 2021, the actor took to her Instagram with a series of photos and a short clip to announce the release of her latest movie SAS Red Nation, adapted from the eponymous book written by veteran SAS member Andy McNab.

She made a red carpet appearance from the luxuries of her living room and jokingly mentioned that red carpets these days had transformed into something different.

In the movie, the actor plays the role of Grace, the leader of the mercenary group Black Swan, who is a psychopath determined to kill everyone who stands in her way.

The action-thriller featured a lot of dangerous stunts. Hence, the actor underwent military and stunt training in addition to a lot of learning, reading, and listening to McNab to understand the psychological aspect of playing a psychopath. 

However, it was not her first time doing stunts as she jumped and punched her way through season one of CW’s Batwoman and Resident Evil: The Final Chapter. 

In an interview with Sky News, the actress explained that this was not a typical action movie, as it incorporated the reality of how the government and military operations were handled and how sometimes the lines are blurred lines between what is right and wrong.

it's not just this typical action film... it's all based on authenticity and the actual reality of how the military operate, how the government operates with the military and how actually there are very blurred boundaries of right and wrong and what side you're on.

A Movie With Morgan Freeman

Another action-packed movie that the actress has signed herself into is Vanquish. The actress plays the role of a caretaker to Victor, a retired police commissioner who uses a wheelchair, played by Morgan Freeman.

According to Collider, Vanquish does not look any different from the thousands of movies from the action-thriller genre. However, high hopes surround the movie as Freeman is shown in a much lesser seen villainous role.

The shooting commenced around September 2020 and wrapped up at the end of January 2021. The movie is scheduled for release on April 3, 2021.
