The Grey's Anatomy star Giacomo Gianniotti always visualized himself as a part of the entertainment industry. Now, after over twenty acting credits to his name, the actor is living his dream.

Made His Debut at 21

The actor made his debut in 2010 in an Italian drama Series, Medicina generale, where he played the punk rock character Alberto Talenti.

According to IMDb, the TV series's plot was about the lives of doctors doing their everyday jobs helping the people who get injured. The series has an average rating of 7.5/10 stars on the platform. Medicina generale aired from 2007 to 2010 and was produced in Italy.

It turns out Grey's Anatomy is not the first hospital-based series credited to his acting career. The Italian-Canadian actor joined the fictional Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital as an intern, Andrew DeLuca, in 2015.

The audition for his role took place at the end of 2014. Later in February 2015, Gianniotti moved to Los Angeles along with his two friends. They packed up and made a 2500 mile road journey from his hometown, Toronto.

About 15 hours into the drive and a couple of months after his audition, the actor got a call from his manager saying that the role was down to him and another actor. During the remainder of the three-day journey, Gianniotti took his time and prepared for his last audition.

Eventually, he performed amazingly in the audition and got the role. Initially, he entered the series just as a guest. However, his exceptional acting made him a series regular.
