While their marriage is quite happy, the couple was quite upset with how their wedding panned out. The duo's dissatisfaction with how their wedding day went back in 2003 did not subside as the years went by, which is why the determined husband talked about wanting to fix it. 

Hence, to make up for their horrible marriage ceremony, the couple had a “second wedding” in the form of a vow renewal ceremony on December 19, 2015, which the reality TV star described as “perfect” in a Facebook post. 

A year ago today I renewed my wedding vows w/ @trulykenya. When we got married in 2003 it's was a fiasco!!! Everything that could go wrong did go wrong. Gary’s Children Helped Surprise Kenya With The Vow Renewal Ceremony

But apart from the vow renewal ceremony, the loving hubby also had a surprise stored for the beloved wife. Owen's sons and daughter helped the comic put together the logistics of the ceremony.

To fit the right wedding dress, the Reality Showrunner even made son Austin try on the dress. Kenya actually did not agree to the vow renewal at first. But after witnessing the effort from the entire family, their dedication made the mother of three agree to the ceremony.
