Molly started her career as a production assistant in ESPN back in 2011. She was later hired as a web reporter and in-arena host for the baseball team, Boston Celtics. Her career made a significant turn when she joined Fox Sports 1 as an update anchor in 2013. She worked as a lead sideline reporter for Fox College Football and Fox College Basketball for the media.

McGrath also exhibited her prowess as a series host in 2015 as she worked for ABC network as a host for robot combat television series, Battlebots. Molly was born on 6 June 1989 in San Francisco to parents; Michael and Deborah McGrath. She is accompanied by an older brother named, Patrick, who was a footballer at Princeton University. Max is an acquisitions director at Taurus Investment Holdings by his profession. Molly met her "soon-to-be husband", Max at Los Angeles and started dating with him. Molly announced that engagement through an Instagram picture with her "always & forever" boyfriend showing the engagement ring back in June 2017.

It was on 2 July 2018 that Molly posted multiple pictures with her husband announcing that they got married on Instagram.
The bride embraced a gorgeous wedding gown mermaid style with a sweetheart neckline that flowed to her open back with a cute ribbon bow sash, while her husband Max sported a navy blue suit matched with a magenta necktie and brown oxfords.
