Reimagining the legendary tale of King Arthur, Netflix released the fantasy drama series Cursed based on the story of Nimue aka the Fey queen (played by Katherine Langford).  The latter character is destined to become the mythical Lady of the Lake.

The series begins when Nimue’s dying mother, Lenore, tasks her daughter to deliver the "Sword of Power" to Merlin after Christian monks group, Red Paladins, attack the villagers of Dewdenn.

In her quest, Nimue meets young and charming Arthur with whom she joins hands to accomplish the last task given to her by her mother.

But before bringing the sword to Merlin, Nimue wields the Sword of Power herself to fight and save her tribe, Fey, from being persecuted by the Christain monks.

Katherine Langford On 'Cursed' Season 2

Speaking with Elle magazine about the storyline of the second season of Cursed, Langford implied that there were so many more stories to be covered in the upcoming seasons.

“There is so much more story left, and if we're able to reveal that, or if there is a desire to see what lies beyond the final episode of this season,” remarked Langford.

She further explained, “I'm trying not to spoil anything, but I feel like this [season] is really just the tip of the iceberg.”

“There's a lot of talk about the sword this season, and I feel like it would be interesting to see just how deep Nimue's powers go and what kind of untapped power she has within,” told Langford.
